Featuring a Collection of Monson-Related WWI Memorabilia
2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. In recognition of this, the Society will be exhibiting a large collection of photos and memorabilia as it relates to Monson's part in WWI both on the battle lines and on the home front. Come and view this wonderful collection and discover some of the very interesting items we have uncovered, along with some of the soldiers who enlisted from Monson and their tales and stories. The public is invited and this is a free event. Voluntary donations will be accepted and refreshments will be served.
Come visit the historic Thompson house and view all of the refurbishments that have taken place inside and out, due to grants received from Monson's Community Preservation Act. The Jacob Thompson house, built in 1811, is currently in the process of being placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
